Founding Chair, Institute of Buddhist Management for Happiness and Peace Foundation, Thailand
Venerable Napan Thawornbanjob is a Buddhist monk who serves as the Assistant Abbot of Wat Saket (The Golden Mount Temple). He is the Founding Chair of the Institute of Buddhist Management for Happiness and Peace (IBHAP) Foundation, and a Secretary-General of Religions for Peace, Thailand. For decades, he has been dedicated to peace and development, advocating for the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His initiative 'Buddhism for SDGs’ not only harnesses the faith-based value to create a positive impact from the local to global level but also projects the importance and role of religious or faith leaders in meaningful social transformation. His most notable work includes peacebuilding, conflict resolution, interreligious dialogue, planetary health, and education, as well as the empowerment of monks, women, and youths.
