“I have just completed my first two weeks of law school. A lot of it has been pushing me out of my comfort zone but I also feel so blessed to have been able to participate in BYUH’s Legal Studies Program. Thanks to the program, I already have been exposed to writing case briefs. This is something I do every day now in law school. I believe the Legal Studies Program also helped prepare me for law school by giving me a foundational understanding of legal terms and jargon that would have otherwise appeared as a foreign language to me upon entering law school. I also remember the assignments I was required to complete in the program caused me to think on a deeper level than was required in my other classes. Consequentially, it pushed me to be a better critical thinker, a more diligent student, and a more interested learner. All these skills have been coming in handy during my first two weeks of law school and I attribute them to my participation in the Legal Studies Program.”
