Lour Abish Soquila is a student at Brigham Young University–Hawaii, pursuing a double major in clinical psychology and business management with a concentration in marketing. Ever since she was young, she’s always been called to fill roles that understand individuals personally and use that to help them professionally. Loura’s leadership journey began early when she was appointed Young Women President in her homeward where she organized activities that enhanced engagement among young women even during the pandemic. In high school, she served as president of the speaker’s society, leading public speaking workshops that improved her peers' communication skills and confidence. Now, Loura is part of the leadership team for the Cats and Public Speaking Club at BYU–Hawaii, where she oversees club outreach and event planning, ensuring the club's message resonates with a wide student audience. In addition to her academic and extracurricular commitments, she works as an assistant supervisor at Hapa Home, a retail shop located in Hawaii's most popular tourist spot. With her background in organizing events, brainstorming innovative marketing ideas, and taking initiative in leadership roles, Loura is well-prepared for a dynamic career in the marketing field, where her interpersonal and professional skills will continue to shine.
