BYUPAS at BYUH

By: Brian Houghton, Ph.D.

The BYUPAS Hawaii-Pacific Chapter was formed in late 2010 and formalized in 2011 as an official chapter. The Hawaii-Pacific chapter is open to all BYUH students, alumni and BYUPAS in the Hawaii-Pacific area who have a desire to or already are working in domestic or international affairs. The goal of the chapter is to help individuals network and gain a greater appreciation and awareness of aspects of politics in this dynamic area of the world. The chapter plans to come together for forums to listen to individuals who have personal experience in the various aspects of politics and government service, and to learn from one another. The first activity of the chapter was to hear from Richard Fale, a BYUH alum who has run twice for local office on the island of Oahu. The BYUPAS Hawaii-Pacific Chapter invites all to come and join the organization and participate in its activities.
