OPHD Volunteer Certification

Oceanian Perspective on Human Dignity Conference (April 23 - 25, 2024)


The OPHD Volunteer Certification was designed for volunteers to prepare to meet our OPHD Delegates. When you are certified it can show our guests that our volunteers have been trained, educated, and prepared to engage with them throughout the conference.

Steps to get certified

Step 1: Enroll

  • Enroll in the OPHD Canvas course by accepting the invitation in your BYUH email
  • Complete Canvas assignments

Step 2: Human Dignity Background

  1. Latter-day Saint Human Dignity Response Human Dignity terms
  2. Human Dignity terms

Step 3: Professionalism

  1. Resume
  2. Personal Branding Statement
  3. Reading Selection from "True Professionalism"

Step 4: Religious Freedom

  1. Foundational Video Paragraph summary
  2. "Religious Freedom" by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints summary
  3. “Faith Commitments Fuel Dialogue…” summary

Step 5: Attend Trainings and Meetings

OPHD Volunteer Certification Benefits

Networking

Volunteering provides a chance to connect with speakers, delegates, and other volunteers, expanding your professional network within the field of Oceanian perspectives, human dignity, and related areas.

Limited Edition Pins

The Human Dignity Conference will switch off annually between the Asian Perspectives and Oceanian Perspectives. Each conference will have its limited edition pin that volunteers can collect.

Learning Experience

You will have the opportunity to attend sessions and workshops during downtime, gaining insights into the latest research, perspectives, and discussions on the topic. This can broaden your understanding and knowledge.
