Dr. Ricardo Vicente holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Sherbrooke, where the research was based on The Critical Success Factors (CSF) of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) implementation. Dr. Vicente’s research was the first empirical research to 1) Use Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as methodology in ERM research. 2) Design the ERM as a socio-technical system, and 3) Contribute to stakeholders who are looking to implement an ERM system in order to know the factors that should be considered as a positive influence on that implementation.

Dr. Vicente has developed and delivered a variety of undergraduate and graduate management courses such as Undergraduate and MBA level.

Dr. Vicente’s research aims to develop tools that measure the efficacy of the operations based on the risk taken.

Dr. Vicente continues to be involved in consulting work. He helps companies around the world with participation in the consulting market specialized in International consulting in Strategy and Finance.

Prior to pursuing an academic career, Dr. Vicente gained experience in various corporate executive positions. Those corporate level assignments encompassed a full range of organizations and management activities for international companies like Meridian, and TRW. Dr. Vicente has worked in different countries as Brazil, USA, and Canada.

Dr. Vicente is fluent in Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish.

He is married to Monica and they have three children, Arthur, Hector, and Karen. The family loves to travel and know different cultures.
